WIMA is set to promote the business objectives of its members by giving women innovative ways to acquire tractors and other mechanisation equipment. It would help give women the requisite knowledge and practical skills to operate manage and maintain tractors and related equipment and enhance productivity of women in the sphere of Agricultural mechanization. We want women to create investments and savings culture amongst women using small equipment and use this as a a platform for Imparting technical knowledge and represent the interest of its members through agricultural mechanization and service provision.
Who we are
In terms of gender and agricultural mechanization, the few studies that are now in existence offer some, but not yet sufficient, proof of women's lower rate of access to and adoption of mechanized equipment in comparison to males.
The most disadvantaged are female heads of households without a working-age male present, and WIMA is dedicated to changing this perception.

Women's participation in various stages of the value chain of mechanization might be improved. So answering the question of how mechanization can promote the empowerment of women is why WIMA exists.
