Women in Mechanized Agribusiness West Africa - WIMA wants to stimulate business in the market. Promote an investing and saving culture amongst women.

Agricultural mechanization plays an important role in economic production. It is a crucial input for agriculture crop production as it enables farmers to produce crops more efficiently. It reduces costs of cultivation and increases productivity and overall returns. This technology however is not accessible to small and marginal farmers especially women who cannot afford to purchase these machines with their modest resources.

Our key priorities

WIMA aims to provide an opportunity for women to acquire tractors by pooling resources and purchasing it on behalf of them as a group. This will play a significant role in the transformation of agricultural practices and income of women in Agriculture.

Become a Member

We will strive to create more awareness about opportunities in mechanization and to encourage more women to participate in it. Also, to mobilise/lobby government for inclusion and support in mechanization opportunities.
